Corydoras sterbai
Corydoras sterbai, commonly known as Sterba's Cory, is a freshwater fish belonging to the armored catfish family (Callichthyidae). Native to the upper Rio Guapore river basin in Brazil, South America, it inhabits slow-moving waters with soft substrates. Sterba's Cory is characterized by its dark body and head covered in white or orange spots, while the ventral area is typically orange. These fish are peaceful and social, preferring to live in groups. They are bottom-dwelling scavengers, feeding on a variety of foods. Sterba's Corys are popular in the aquarium hobby due to their attractive appearance, peaceful nature, and ease of care.
