GloFish®, Electric Green® Tetra

The GloFish® Electric Green® Tetra is a genetically modified variant of the black skirt tetra (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi). It is characterized by its bright, fluorescent green coloration. These fish were initially developed for scientific research to detect environmental pollutants. The fluorescent color is inherited and does not fade over time. GloFish® Tetras are generally peaceful and suitable for community aquariums with other non-aggressive fish of similar size and temperament. They thrive in well-maintained freshwater aquariums with stable water parameters and benefit from a varied diet consisting of flake food, frozen food, and small live foods. The fish prefers a planted tank with dimmed lighting to accentuate their colors.
