Corydoras trilineatus
Corydoras trilineatus, commonly known as the False Julii Cory Cat, is a small, peaceful freshwater fish native to the tributaries of larger river systems in South America. It is often mistaken for Corydoras julii, but can be distinguished by its more defined, linear pattern of black dots on the head and vertical banding on the body. This species reaches a maximum size of approximately 6.5 cm. False Julii Cory Cats are social creatures and thrive in groups of six or more. They are bottom-dwelling scavengers that require a well-planted aquarium with hiding places and a smooth sand or gravel substrate to protect their barbels. These corydoras are omnivorous and require a varied diet consisting of sinking pellets, flake food, frozen foods, and live foods.
